VANCOUVER, WA – Several agencies rescued a woman after her vehicle crashed into the Columbia River early Tuesday morning.
According to a report by The Chronicle, first responders began searching for the woman shortly before 7 a.m.
The victim was located holding onto to a ladder on a bridge pier a short time later. She was pulled to a rescue boat and treated for hypothermia until they reached shore.
The unidentified woman was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Her condition remains unclear at this time.
An investigation into the cause of the crash remains underway as of this writing.
