The most dangerous intersections in Government Camp are listed below:
- U.S 26 & West Government Camp Road at Summit Ski area
- U.S. 26 & East Ski Bowl ( main) parking lot
- U.S. 26 & Timberline Road
These three poorly designed, semi-blind intersections are within a quarter mile or each other and have been the sites of major car accidents. ODOT has previously attempted to mitigate the dangers, but additional work is needed.
One previously dangerous intersection was the OR 35 / Meadows access intersection. That intersection was successfully redesigned in 2003 with creation of a highway overpass. Noting this success, Ski Bowl has similarly suggested a ramp– from US 26 to the Multorpor Overcrossing. ODOT opposed this idea for not meeting Oregon Highway Plan interchange spacing standards
