PORTLAND, OR – A carjacking suspect was shot and killed after crashing a vehicle in an attempt to evade Portland Police on Monday morning.
According to KXL, 30-year-old Brandon Keck crashed a stolen vehicle while heading north in the southbound lanes of I-5 near Lombard Street. He then got out of the car and carjacked another driver.
A lieutenant with the Portland Police Bureau then fired a shot that killed the armed suspect as he attempted to flee again.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
An investigation into the fatal incident remains underway.
